When your child who has a learning disability grows up, most parents worry about their future. Many questions buzz around our minds, wondering where they will live, who will care for them and how they will pass their time.
Andrew has been in his own home since April 2011 and is very happy. He has a good team of carers who ensure he is well cared for and participates in stimulating activities.
As family, we can have as much involvement as we choose. It’s WIN WIN. He has his own life and we still see him very regularly and have input into his life.
Thanks to all the committed staff who care for people with learning disabilties – they are treasures.
